Recommendations to transform the quality of education in Colombia across seven strategic areas

This document provides an overview of the challenges faced by the education sector in Colombia and presents a series of innovative proposals to address them effectively. From analyzing educational gaps to promoting technological innovation, the document covers crucial topics such as teacher quality, education financing, early childhood care, and post-secondary education. Through the collaboration of experts, researchers, and organizations, various pathways to improve educational quality in the country have been identified, ranging from the implementation of tutoring programs and the updating of basic competency standards to the creation of a National Education Innovation System and the promotion of school autonomy. With a focus on equity and inclusion, these recommendations aim to guarantee complete and high-quality educational paths for all Colombian students, addressing both immediate and structural needs within the education system.
